Accreditation

Accreditation

To ensure consistency and quality in the delivery of IWCF programmes of training and assessment all centres, assessors and instructors must be accredited before training or assessments can begin.

We have recently introduced a new accreditation structure which offers a significant reduction in accreditation fees and increased flexibility for training centres. Training centres can apply for primary or associate centre accreditation, which will renew annually. Click here to view the full list of accreditation fees.

If you would like to apply for IWCF centre accreditation, please complete the Accreditation Application pack which is available on the Members Login Area of the IWCF website and submit any supporting evidence directly to accreditation@iwcf.org

Become an Accredited Centre

The first step to becoming an IWCF accredited training centre is to apply for IWCF membership. If you are interested in becoming a member you can view our membership information here.

Once your membership has been approved, you will receive login details for the Members Login Area of the IWCF website where you can download an Accreditation Application Pack.

You will be asked to provide details of physical resources, staff resources, management systems and training materials as part of the accreditation process to ensure programmes can be delivered to IWCF standards. Accreditation applications will take a minimum of 20 days to be reviewed and can take longer if further supporting evidence is required.

If an application is successful, the centre will be granted provisional approval which allows the centre to hold courses. An invigilator and IWCF auditor will attend the first assessment session to ensure best practice is followed and to verify the evidence provided. Once the audit is complete the centre will be granted either an Outright Accreditation, Accreditation with Actions or No Accreditation.

Once accreditation is achieved, centres may apply for to add associate centres. Associate centre accreditation is valid for 12 months and are subject to an audit in line with the current 2 year audit cycle.
