The Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas (IFNTUOG), established in 1967, is the market leader in providing high-level technical and non-technical training services to Ukraine’s energy sector – a major driver of Ukrainian economy. Recognizing its special obligations of training specialists for the oil and gas industry, our University offers a unique blend of teaching, training and industrially focused skills. IFNTUOG’s academic experience is firmly rooted in 15 schools comprising 54 departments that provide a wide choice of comprehensive programs at the baccalaureate (28), specialist (30), master (23) and doctoral levels (22). 11, 000 students from Ukraine and 37 countries can explore academic disciplines from drilling and reservoir engineering to management and translation.

In October 2004, the university received accreditation from the IWCF and since then has been conducting international certification of the specialists of the drilling of wells and production oil and gas in its training drilling centre.
At the present time the training drilling centre is a modern structural department of IFNTUOG, which is equipped by the most modern simulators, designed to model and to perform technological operations for drilling wells in different conditions. The training drilling centre educates students and candidates for certification according to the IWCF programme “Drilling well control” and exams their knowledge
