Train the Trainer

The Train the Trainer course is a highly interactive four-day course accredited by IWCF, which is now being delivered virtually. It directly meets the recommendations made by the IOGP 476 report which states that “the quality of learning involved in well control training and certification needs to be improved.” It also meets the recommendations that instructors must be certified according to IWCF standards and have their teaching ability assessed.

The course will enable instructors to teach effectively and confidently in the classroom, helping them to develop effective training materials and techniques that meet the course objectives and needs of learners.

By the end of the Train the Trainer course you will be able to:

  • Develop well-structured training programmes
  • Deliver well-structured training sessions
  • Use training approaches suitable for adult learning behaviours
  • Use effective presentation techniques to fully engage your students
  • Develop communicative activities to encourage interaction, motivate your students and ease learning
  • Use a range of evaluation techniques to ensure your training progresses.

Course Information and Dates

The Train the Trainer programme is suitable for both new and more experienced instructor who wish to develop their teaching skills both face-to-face and online.

Our programme provider is TJS International Training Resources who have achieved “ILM Recognised” status for Effective Communication for Training Professionals (ECTP) Train the Trainer programme. This means the programme meets the global standards for leadership and management set by ILM (a City&Guilds Group Business).

You will receive an IWCF certificate once successfully completing this programme. As ECTP Train the Trainer is ILM Recognised, you will also have the option of an additional ILM certificate at an additional cost. This will also include a digital credential so you can share your achievements electronically and via digital platforms such as Linkedin and social media.

We are continuing to offer our Train the Trainer course virtually over a 4 day period. There is also now an added focus on delivering training in a virtual environment in the course.
