The first step to becoming an IWCF accredited training centre is to apply for IWCF membership. You can view our membership information here.
Once your membership has been approved, you will receive a username and password for the Members Login Area of the IWCF website where you can download an Accreditation Application Pack.
You will be asked to provide details of physical resources, staff resources, management systems and training materials as part of the accreditation process to ensure programmes can be delivered to IWCF standards. Please note that accreditation applications will take a minimum of 20 days to be reviewed and can take longer if further supporting evidence is required.
If an application is successful, the centre will be granted provisional approval which allows the centre to hold courses. An Invigilator and IWCF Auditor will attend the first examination session to ensure best practice is followed and to verify the evidence provided. Once the audit is complete the centre will be granted either an Outright Accreditation, Accreditation with Actions or No Accreditation.
Following a successful accreditation, centres may apply for secondary or temporary accreditation. Secondary centres are in a permanent location and will be subject to an audit. Temporary centres are only valid to run training courses and examinations for up to 90 days and will not require an audit.
