Maersk Training in Rio de Janeiro provides advanced training to the maritime and oil & gas offshore industries. We use state-of-art drilling, production, crane and maritime simulators for advanced technical as well as certification training. Among other units, our training center includes a DrillSIM 500 and a DrillSIM 5000 drilling simulators, allowing for a wide range of well control exercises, across all levels of IWCF certification. Further to those, there also are ten Kongsberg K-Spice Production Process training stations; an Emergency Control Room for CRM based training; two Kongsberg Full Mission DP Bridge Simulators integrated with Anchor Handling simulator; in accordance with the Nautical Institute (NI) class A type with ten different vessel/unit models; a Transas Navi-Sailor 4000 ECDIS simulator for ECDIS; radar and ARPA simulation training and competence assessment; and a full complement of Kongsberg student station consoles for basic Dynamic Positioning (DP) training.
Furthermore, our NR (Regulatory Norms) Instructors are also able to provide essential safety training on board client vessels and at their facilities, in accordance with their immediate and long-term needs. We also carry out crane training using our portable ARI Advanced Virtual Crane Simulators from our secondary base in Santos, São Paulo, for ports such as Santos itself and Navegantes and Itajaí in Santa Catarina. As our crane simulators are portable, we can carry out crane training wherever is most convenient for our clients.
Our technical training takes place both onshore, in our training center in Rio de Janeiro and offshore, in our Client’s assets.
